- Electro Discharge Machining
Simulation Services
We have invested in new software to greatly increase the speed of our full CAD/CAM FEA service, offering linear, static and dynamic analysis.
VTL has extensive capability in simulation software to design, visualise and simulate products rapidly and cost-effectively. We can perform simulations on digital prototypes to optimise designs and streamline documentation, data management and collaboration.
Our capabilities offer analysis of mechanical stress, vibration and fatigue, as well as motion, heat transfer, fluid flow and complete forging simulation.
Materials, Surface and Coating Consultancy
Our expertise and that of research partners combine to offer a comprehensive service to determine optimum materials for new product development and for the re-engineering of existing products, leading to improved performance and cost reduction.
We can support our customers with materials selection, chemical analysis, mechanical testing and failure analysis, coatings, surface engineering, and corrosion advice.
Alternative Manufacturing Technologies
Our ability to offer traditional and alternative manufacturing technologies gives customers maximum flexibility in component design, manufacture and assembly.
We work with industrial research partners to offer a wide variety of alternatives in both prototype and manufacturing processes such as metal Injection moulding, precision electrochemical machining and laser cutting. We use our metallurgy services to fully define optimum materials and processes to engineer solutions around precision capabilities.
Electro Discharge Machining
For geometrically complex or hard material parts that cannot be supported with conventional machining processes, we have EDM services as part of our portfolio. We offer alternative techniques, whether pulse generation or wire erosion, developing tolerances of less than 1 micron.
