We officially launched our Technical Solutions Centre in 2011 to bring together all the R&D and technical services within the VTL Group, offering a suite of services around product development and manufacturing innovation.
The VTL Group’s Technical Solutions Centre provides customers with the very latest in precision engineering technologies for current and future product development. The Centre utilises the expertise within the VTL Group, as well as its academic and industrial partners, to offer a comprehensive solutions-based consultancy service.
With dedicated simulation software and a suite of test equipment in a clean room environment, the Centre offers a full R&D service for simulated and manufacturing solutions, as well as a full machining service.
The 20,000 sqft facility has a dedicated research and development team of 15 engineers and technicians specialising in metallurgy, design, simulation techniques, prototype development, validation and alternative manufacturing solutions.
The Centre offers conferencing space where all VTL stakeholders – including customers and suppliers – are able to work with our own team and representatives of our research partners, to enhance current products and to develop next generation lean vehicles.
We utilise our bespoke VTL Project Management system to control projects from initial concept, through development, simulation and prototyping.
